They could be structured as water reserve projects, tokens, private offerings, funds, land or water-rights vehicles, infrastructure plays, or something else. Each structure carries different risks.


Before viewing WWR or USWR as potential investments, serious due diligence should cover:


  • Legal structure

  • Ownership of water rights or infrastructure

  • Audited financial statements, if available

  • Token supply and redemption terms, if tokenized

  • Management background

  • Regulatory filings

  • Custody of assets

  • Geographic exposure

  • Revenue model

  • Exit options and liquidity

  • Independent verification of reserves


The water thesis is powerful, but a powerful thesis does not make every water-related investment sound. Scarcity can attract serious builders and weak promoters at the same time.
